Topaz Lodge

Not the swankiest place, but great people who run it. The bed was comfortable and my boyfriend and I had to make a last minute stay. The owner also gave us a ride to the bus station in the morning and let us use his computer to print our tickets.

I really enjoyed my stay here. I spent the 2 nights prior at a Hyatt in Englewood (2x the $). My time at the Topaz was more comfortable and more memorable than the Hyatt. It reminded me of all the places I stayed as a kid. The room had everything we needed. The wifi was perfectly suited for email and social media. I enjoyed the fact that I could park right outside my door. I found the history of the place to be interesting. How often do you get to stay in a place with 100 years of history? I will be back.

We just stayed here this past weekend. Very Nice! Our room was newly remodeled, very clean, and very comfortable! We had a brand new king size bed. Slept very well! Centrally located to downtown area, we were able to walk to our event on Friday night. We will definitely recommend to all of our friends!

If you have the opportunity to stay at the Topaz Lodge request a corner room. I stayed in room 12 and it was awesome! It came with 3 separate sleeping areas, one of which was a spare bedroom, a massive closet, very cute and eclectic bathroom and a separate huge vanity! We very much enjoyed our stay! The furniture, beds, carpet and well, everything is very outdated, there's a tv with cable but no fridge, hot shower, wifi and very friendly staff. It is clean and is located in a perfect spot right near downtown BV. A fun adventure! We shall return and would highly recommend!

Stayed here in August. As others have said, it’s dated and there is no a/c. But it was clean-ish, quiet and the guy was laid back. The oscillating fan was powerful enough to keep us comfortable. Way cheaper than anything else I could find in the area. Id stay again if just traveling through for a night or two.

Great location, super clean, dog friendly! We saw some old photos and were worried, but the love is actually really nice and clean!

Rooms have great character. Location is great. Service was good. Good wifi. No complaints. This place came through in a pinch on Labor Day weekend. Would stay here again.

Good value for the money. The rooms are outdated and simple but clean and even had a few ammenities like a small coffee maker. The staff was very nice and the beds were king sized and shockingly comfy. Plus they had no issues accommodating our dog!

Super nice people who run the Topaz. It is a good, cheap place to stay. It's not the ritz by any means, but it's not $700/night either. Everything worked and was clean the several times I've stayed there. It is in the heart of "downtown", within walking distance of everything. There is not much parking.

My friend and I stayed here while we rode ATV's for a few days. It's old, but its history is very interesting. If you're looking for modern amenities, this isn't the place. The only thing modern is decent wifi and a TV/remote lol. I believe some rooms offer a micro/fridge but ours had neither. The owners (who appear to live behind the office) are extremely friendly and accommodating (and we initially checked in the first night close to midnight). Our room was pretty spacious, as was the bathroom, and the central location in town is great. We spent virtually no time in our room so I would stay here again. If we were going to spend a lot of down time in our room, I probably wouldn't. The 1950's yellow, green and pink tile in the bathroom is adorable; so is the midget bathtub. This is one of the most beautiful areas in Colorado, so I am pretty content just to be in BV.
